Question (from Stan):
What is a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for a woman I’m just getting to know?
Valentine’s Day gifts don’t need to be complicated. The marketing world has pretty much identified what makes the perfect Valentine’s Day gift: roses or a heart-shaped box of candies – or both. This seems to be ingrained in our brains. It’s hard to think of Valentine’s Day without picturing roses and candies.
Jewelry is another option. If the relationship has proceeded to a point that appears more serious, jewelry is usually appreciated. However, this is a touchy situation. Often it may be interpreted as too much, too soon. If the woman in the situation believes that the relationship has proceeded further than it really has, she may in fact be expecting a piece of jewelry to signify this seriousness.
If you’re the type of person who likes to give gifts that are useful, whatever that gift may be, include the flowers or a heart-shaped box of candies.
